Russel Davies
Chief Executive Officer
Russel has over 35 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, who started his career at ExxonMobile in various technical and managerial positions. From 2008, he served as CEO of Dominion Gas, where he set up business units in Ghana and led the business through its successful sale to Praxair Inc. He joined Ramco in 2017 as CEO and is responsible for setting the strategic direction and overall management of the business, including expansion into new regions.
Stephen Dempster
Chief Financial Officer
Stephen is a chartered accountant who started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC). He then worked as a finance controller in the construction industry, before moving on to management roles within the oil and gas industry, working at Darcy Technologies Ltd and Halliburton before joining Ramco.
Rob O'Neill
Business Development Director
Rob has more than 25 years of upstream oil and gas experience with over 15 years working directly in the OCTG market. Rob has a proven track record in developing the company’s international footprint, opening new markets and identifying strategic growth opportunities. Prior to joining Ramco, Rob has worked with Hydril (Tenaris), Workstrings International and TWMA.
Julie Hammond
HSEQ Manager
Since graduating from Aberdeen University with a Bachelor of Law in 2003 Julie has gained varied HSEQ experience within the construction, oil and gas and public sector. Having supported Ramco for 18 months through HSEQ consultancy company Quensh, Julie joined the organisation in mid-2018. Julie is a member of IOSH and holds the NEBOSH Diploma qualification.
Ally Carson
Maintenance Manager
Ally is a mechanical engineer to trade, starting at Silverdale Coaches. Following that, Ally joined Ramco and has been involved in the building and installation of Ramco equipment worldwide and is now an integral part of the management team.
John Hendry
Sales and Marketing Manager
John joined Ramco in 2019 as a Sales and Marketing Manager. He is an experienced Regional Business Development Manager with a demonstrated history within the oil and gas industry, particularly in oilfield rental/sales and pipe care management. John has a proven track record working in the UKCS, USA, Caspian, Canada, Middle East and European markets.
Riaan Hildebrand
Operations Manager
Riann joined Ramco in 2002 after a career working for one of South Africa’s largest banks. Riann started in finance and business support for plant operations, before working his way into a management position. He then transferred to the logistics and operational side of the business in 2018.
Bruce Fraser
Contracts and Commercial Manager
Bruce served an apprenticeship with British Rail in Aberdeen as a signalling and telecommunications engineer, before moving to London to take up roles in estimating and bid management with Racal PLC. After completing a law degree, he moved into a senior commercial manager role with Thales UK. Bruce relocated back to Aberdeen after 18 years in London, taking on various roles prior to joining Ramco in 2019.
Darren MacPherson
Plant Manager
Following a career in the military and the automotive industry, Darren joined Ramco in 2004 bringing with him vast plant environment knowledge. At Ramco, Darren has experience in both yard and plant operations, having worked in both areas before joining the management team within the plant in 2018.
Norway Team
Arild Moe
Managing Director - Norway
Arild has an education in economics from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. Arild has worked at Ramco for 27 years, starting in a quality control position before moving to management and latterly Managing Director of Ramco Norway AS. He has been leading the Norway branch since 2002.
Magne Grolid
Plant Manager - Sandnessjøen
Magne has an education as a Technician/Mechanic within the car industry and brings 26 years of experience, including the position of Workshop Manager. Magne joined Ramco as an OCTG inspector and Plant Manager in 2008.
Christine Hammersvik
HR Manager - Norway
Christine Hammersvik has studied economics and IT, and project management at West Norway University. She started her career as an HR coordinator at West Industri Service AS before moving on to Fjord1 ASA and brings years’ experience as an Operations Manager. Christine joined Ramco in March 2021 as HR Manager for the Norwegian company.
Audun Hammerseth
QA and Inspection Manager - Norway
Audun Hammerseth started his career in the construction industry as a concrete worker for 13 years before joining Ramco Florø in April 1992. Audun started his Ramco career working as an operator, then moved through roles as a blaster, chargehand, production supervisor and in 2008 was appointed as Operation Manager at the Florø, Sandnessjøen and Hammerfest sites in Norway.
Stian Sømme
Plant Manager - Tananger
Stian has been in the tubular business since 2005, with previous work experience as an OCTG inspector. He started working for Ramco in 2012 as a company trainee Plant Manager in Tananger. He has a certificate of completed apprenticeship as an automation mechanic from Haugaland VGS.
Torgeir Hindøy
SHEQ Manager - Norway
Torgeir started working with HSE during his military service as a safety representative for enrolled soldiers in the Norwegian Navy.
Later, he studied work environment and organizational psychology at University of Bergen before starting as an operator at Ramco Norway in 2015. He has working his way up, and promoted to HSEQ Manager – Ramco Norway AS since 2020
Einy Helen Akselsen
Economy and Finance Manager - Norway
Einy joined Ramco as Norway’s Economy and Finance Manager in September 2021. She has a degree in economics and business administration from West Norway University and went on to study export marketing at the Norwegian Business School in Olso. Einy brings varied experience of many years in business administration, economy and HR roles in industries ranging from real estate, shipyard, aquaculture and the offshore energy industry.
