Banksman Slinger
We are currently looking to recruit for 2 Banksman Slingers to work within our Pipe Yard in Portlethen, Aberdeen.
The Banksman Slinger is responsible for preparing and slinging loads, with the capability to direct and control the movement and placing of loads.
The individual will have experience and knowledge covering the following key areas:
- Experience working in a pipe yard
- Knowledge of OCTG and handling/ bundling of various ranges of material and has worked with a crane/crew within 3-5-year period
- Experience of working with mobile cranes, forklifts, and loading/unloading trailers
- Prepare and sling loads
- Understanding of safe lifting practices, material weights and bundling techniques
- Capability to direct and control the movement and placing of loads
- Maintain clear and accurate communication with the crane operator
- Awareness of other ongoing operations which may affect lifting activities
- Must have knowledge & understanding of various material types i.e. Grades, Connections and how these are handled
- Valid banksman certificate(s)
- Computer literate for the use of ROMS operation system
- Knowledge of completing/handling paperwork, dispatch notes & inbound manifests
- Ensuring that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Job Instructions/Customer requirements
- Experience in rack building various material types
- Familiar with Ramco and API standards.
- Any other reasonable duties required by the Line Manager
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Proficient in English
- OCTG experience is essential
- Crane crew experience
- Computer literate
- Good time keeping
- Good organisation and communication skills
- Work calmly under pressure

HSEQ Advisor
We are currently looking to recruit for an HSEQ Advisor.
Providing HSEQ support to the organisation, the successful
candidate will ensure the ongoing maintenance and effectiveness of the
HSEQ Systems to fully support Operations through management of risk,
opportunity, compliance and customer requirements.
The individual will have responsibilities covering the following
key areas:
HSEQ
Proactively comply with all applicable HSEQ policies, procedures
and processes. Promote HSEQ awareness; take responsibility and be accountable
for own safety and safety of others. Demonstrate the personal application of
HSEQ procedures in daily performance and always follow Ramco Rules.
GENERAL
- Providing HSEQ advice and guidance to Senior
Management and Operational Line Management in relation to requirements and
best practice.
- Maintaining the HSEQ Management System in line
with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and supporting continuous improvement and
compliance obligations.
- Supporting root cause investigations into
Incidents and non-conformances producing reports and establishing actions.
- Maintaining the audit schedule and undertaking
internal audits as required. Act as the company focal point for all client
and 3rd party certification audits.
- Organise, support, lead and minute various
HSEQ Meetings
- Producing communications including safety
alerts, tool box talks etc.
- Compiling HSEQ reports; both internal reports and
customer reports.
- Ensure documentation remains current and
support in review and updates of registers, procedures and risk
assessments.
- Undertake site inspections, identifying area
of non-compliance and good practice and providing recommendations for
actions.
- Maintain the action tracking system, logging
incidents, non-conformances and actions and following up progress.
- Support the maintenance of the training and
competency system.
- Review and provide information relating to
HSEQ elements of customer contracts.
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method
Statements for contractors.
Appointment to the role will require the following personal
background and experience:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and
member of IOSH.
- Internal Auditor.
- Experience of incident investigations and root
cause analysis.
- Knowledge of UK HSE legislative requirements
- Understanding of Management Systems and
experience at maintaining arrangements within the system.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the
organisation to ensure engagement, compliance and follow up as
necessary.
- Strong communication and organisational skills
with the ability to coordinate multiple streams of information.
- Experience in Microsoft Office and ability to
learn other packages.
- Experience within oil and gas preferably with
knowledge of OCTG Yard and Processing activities.
